EXP 1 - Images
Overall view of the site, showing where the two workshops are relative to each other and the showroom.
View from one corner of the underground workshop, showing the protruding concrete blocks hanging overhead, as well as the exposed earth in the gaps.
View from above the above ground workshop, showing its site and its view of the underground space.
First draft model of the underground workspace, featuring detailing on two of the blocks. It became apparent that such details in conjunction with the use of textures would make the architecture seem far too busy and overwhelming, and I feel that the 'Heavy' texture better conveys the concept of 'grime'.
Further developed underground model, showing the completed stairwell outside of its final context.
Early draft of the above ground space, featuring 2D sections from one of my drawings.
Further developed above ground space, before glass, ramps and stairs were added.
